One of the most popular french TV channel created a website to allow web users to watch online all the TV shows from the last two weeks. That’s a really good idea… but… The website is only available from France… all connections coming from other country are blocked… That’s a shame! They should think about french speaking people living abroad….

Thanks to the “Jus soli” (117 hits) I’m a US citizen…. which means I have to go for jury duty. I like the idea, it’s part of the package when getting the citizenship.

Once you have responded to the jury duty summons, the court will consider you an active part of the jury pool. You will be expected to call in beginning on a specific date. A recorded message is left each night specifying the jurors who must report the following morning. The call-in period typically lasts two weeks. You will most likely not have to report to the courthouse each day. Some people are required to report on several different days. Other people never have to report to the courthouse at all. It all depends on the court’s work load and “the luck of the draw.”

But honestly that’s really painful:

• I had to check the website last weekend… which told me to check again Tuesday between 11 and 12.
• I checked Tuesday between 11 and 12… it told me to check after 5:00 pm
• I checked after 5:00 pm, it told be to check again Wednesday between 11 and 12.
• I checked today, it tells me to check again after 5:00 pm…

Do they know about logistics? Could they just select me (or not), and tell me when and where I need to show up… what the point of asking to check a website twice a day for nothing?

It’s vacation time !!!…

We are on our way to explore South America…

We will be visiting Peru, with Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu.
And we will finish with one week in patagonia…

and 2! It’s fun the first time… the second time it’s starting to be a little bit scary
